The Sysco Quality Assurance Department reviews and monitors all labels on manufacturer and Sysco–branded products to ensure they comply with all legal regulations, provide all classification information, are fully traceable back to the production batch and have complete nutritional and allergen statements. Products that are not correctly labelled will not be accepted by our goods inwards department or may be placed in quarantine until the issue is rectified. Public safety is of paramount importance to us and our customers, and we strive to ensure that all our suppliers comply with all regulatory and best practices in product labelling.
Sysco Peel Off Labels
Sysco has implemented an innovative ‘Peel Off’ labelling system which has proven to be of immense benefit to our customers in maintaining their HACCP records. We use Sysco Peel Off Labels on our fresh meat, cooked meats, poultry, fish, cheese, salads and prepared produce. Each label contains information about traceability, use–by information and batch codes. Customers can retain the peel off section and conveniently and quickly maintain full records on each product.
