First FoodCloud Volunteers Get Busy

March 21, 2024
POSTED IN Sustainability People, Sustainability Products

Sysco has been a supporter of FoodCloud since 2017, donating a remarkable one million meals to the charity to date. This week, we went a step further by having colleagues roll-up their sleeves to do some hands on volunteering!

Aku Kini, Trading Manager; Chaggie Ozoani, Operations and Supply Chain Graduate; Katarina Baraba, Primary Logistics Co-Ordinator; Mantas Jankauskas, Warehouse Training & Compliance Manager; Michael Devlin, Technology Director and Shubham Sharma, eCommerce Admin, jumped into action to help-out in FoodCloud’s bustling kitchen in Clondalkin, Dublin.

Amidst the sizzle of sausage rolls, the artistry of goat-cheese starters, and the aroma of soup, it became evident that we have some hidden culinary talents within our ranks. Chef Simon, watch out, you might have some competition!

Volunteers found the day enriching and rewarding. Helping in the FoodCloud kitchen allowed them to make a tangible difference while also learning more about our charity partner and seeing first-hand the terrific work that they do.
